There will be a 20,000 sq ft event piazza with a large glass dome and big LED screens wrapping around it.
118 Mall is officially opening its doors right at the base of the world’s second-tallest tower this August
Set within the Merdeka 118 precinct, the mall sits just a short walk from Petaling Street and right next to venues like Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara.
There will be over 300 stores, featuring a strong mix of local and international brands, with a big focus on Malaysian culture.

One of the biggest highlights is the Malaysian Artisan District, a massive 80,000 sq ft space dedicated to local culture, flavours, and craftsmanship.
At its centre is Makanizm Food Hall, a 40,000 sq ft food destination celebrating Malaysian cuisine.
If you are the type who plans mall trips around eating, you will be happy to know there is a solid lineup.
Eateries will include Kenny Hills Cafe, Oriental Kopi, Serai Premium, Dolly Dim Sum, and Cili Kampung, alongside coffee spots like ZUS Coffee and Eight Ounce Coffee.

On the retail end, there’ll be brands like Skechers and Decathlon, plus lifestyle and fashion names such as Coach, Hackett London, and Cole Haan.
You will also find sporty staples like Asics and Li-Ning, along with homegrown names like Habib Jewels.
For daily essentials and family errands, there is Village Grocer, HappiKiddo, and Babyshop.
One of the bigger highlights is SOGO118, a refreshed take on the classic SOGO, now reimagined with a more modern youth-focused concept.
There will also be a new-to-market matcha bar and a curated mix of Asian beauty and wellness brands.

On level 4, you will find The Atmosphere, a 20,000 sq ft event piazza with a massive glass dome that lets in natural light.
It is designed for everything from fashion shows to festivals, with huge LED screens wrapping around the space.
With over 70% of retail space already taken up and an expected 22 million visitors in its first year, the mall is also set to play a role in the Visit Malaysia 2026 push.
